Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Offender Treatment

How We Do It

At Safe Ark Wellness, our MDVOT program is designed to help individuals take responsibility for their actions, understand the impact of their behaviour on others, and develop healthier ways of interacting in relationships. Our highly trained and experienced therapists provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where participants can explore their thoughts and feelings, develop positive coping skills, and work towards making meaningful changes in their lives.

If you have been court-ordered to complete MDVOT or are voluntarily seeking help for abusive behaviors, our program may be able to help. Our team will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan based on your unique needs and circumstances.

We are committed to helping you make lasting changes in your life and building healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

How Can You Prepare

If you are planning to participate in our Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Offender Treatment (MDVOT) program, there are some steps you can take to prepare yourself for the process.

First, it’s important to understand that the MDVOT program is designed to address your abusive behaviors and help you develop healthier ways of interacting in relationships. It is essential that you approach the program with an open mind and a willingness to learn and change.

Before attending your first session, you may want to reflect on your past behaviors and consider how they have impacted others. It can be helpful to think about the specific situations that led to your abusive behaviors and any triggers that may cause you to act out in the future.

You may also want to discuss your decision to participate in MDVOT with your loved ones, especially if you have been court-ordered to attend.

This can help you build a support system and increase your accountability for your actions.

Finally, make sure you arrive to your appointments on time and ready to participate.

It’s normal to feel nervous or anxious about group therapy sessions, but remember that our team is here to help you and support you through the process.

At Safe Ark Wellness, we are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all participants in our MDVOT program. We believe in your capacity to change and will work with you every step of the way towards building healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
